Oceanic Feelings and Images Expand with the Pisces New Moon

Are you ready for the Pisces New Moon replete with an expansive trine to Jupiter in Cancer? As the rain pounds with an impassioned ferocity as the winds continue to gust with power punctuated by lightening, I know I am not ready. So much is happening so fast,  not just with the weather, geo-political shake-ups, social/cultural turmoil or just plain disasters, that merging with the ocean doesn't sound like a bad idea. In Latin mare which means sea aligning with this side image of Neptune/Poseidon.  The  the Romans spoke of the  Mare Liberum, the open sea or  Mare Clausum, the closed Sea: and Mare Nostrum, our sea...  Before we look at the rapid galloping planetary shifts that are happening into March 2014 and the drama reflected in this year of the wooden horse, we should examine the myths relating to Neptune/Poseidon ruler of this fantastical New Moon. Full Snow Moon Astounds and Explodes Upwards with the Enigma of Love

In my blog entry yesterday, I mentioned how this magnificent Full Snow Moon will host a bold, fearless aspect involving the Sun in unpredictable fixed air sign Aquarius in a trine to Mars in cardinal air and balancing Libra. Add a dramatic Leo Moon sextile the warrior Mars in charming, stylish Libra and we have incredible performances at the Sochi Winter Olympics. Of course thee is a lot more that this Valentine's Full  Many of those athletic efforts were literally airborne flying above the crowd.

In fact today, in the Olympic debut of slopestyle skiing, Joss Christensen soared to gold medal , posting a score of 95.80 on Thursday to beat teammates Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper. 



There will be lots happening on the 14th. even before the Sun rises in the east. When the Full moon begins @ 3:53 PM, the Leo Moon will at @ 27 degrees with this hopeful and mystical Sabian Symbol: "Daybreak - the luminescence of dawn in the Eastern Sky." Just as the last new moon in Aquarius set the stage for entering new worlds so to speak and  leaving the past behind, this Full Moon will offer new opportunities, new more just perspectives (like removing marijuana from  schedule one status)  and realizations along with scenes of awe and amazement. Updating from the 14th. with this uproarious Leo Moon @ 27 degrees bringing a new dawn so to speak when antiquated beliefs and laws would change. Just a quick aside, since Astraea is so close to both the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius during this Full Moon, "According to legend, Astraea will one day come back to Earth, bringing with her the return of the utopian Golden Age of which she was the ambassador". 
One thing is for sure with this bright Full Moon in fiery Leo, events will "go big" like the powerful volcanic  eruption of Mount Kelud in Indonesia which has over 100,000 people evacuated and seven airports closed.
Notice in the photo below that lightening (a symbol of Aquarius) is striking while the volcano emits fire.

Leo represents the love vibration which we celebrate on  the Feast of Saint Valentine with expressions of romantic love. It is said that Valentine's day was created as an attempt to supersede the pagan holiday of Lupercalia (mid-February in Rome). Lupercalia  was observed on February 13 through 15 to avert evil spirits and purify the city, releasing health and fertility.  One thing for sure is we really need love to burn brighter than ever  during this chaotic, apocalyptic frenzy and for many this enigma will foster enlightenment and release.

We are less than two days away from a Mega-Full Moon known by native american tribes of the north and east as a Full Snow Moon or a Full Hunger Moon. Since the moon will be in Leo, with the symbol of vitality, king ship, self confidence, the yang principle the Sun in a trine with Mars, representing dynamic force, courage and bravery will be in abundance. In fact we have been seeing this solar alignment with the warrior Mars in graceful, balanced Libra playing out with new Olympic heroes achieving stellar and record performances. Per example today in Sochi it speed skater, Stefan Groothius (born Nov. 23, 1981) winning his fourth gold medal in speed skating.
